Some Interesting Features!
The most talked about feature is the Immersion mode; When you are reading or you are in the middle of your game, or watching a video, all of these will occupy the whole centre screen, while hiding all other things in the background. All you have to do is swipe your screen at the edge and all your background status bars and navigation buttons are back.
There are new gestures like the double touch zoom drag up and down leading to dynamic zoom, unlike the pinch zoom in Nexus 4.
Another interesting feature is Screen Recording!Android 4.4 offers a new feature of screen recording. The screen recording utility lets one record videos and store them as MP4 file. The recording can be done at any device-supported resolution and bit rate. This feature allows developers, reviewers, and end users to create a walk through for apps and testing materials.
A new feature that Google is introducing into the phone is “OK, Google”. This is a voice engine, which allows one to search, send a text, get direction, open videos and play songs. You can activate it by calling out “OK Google”. This feature is only available in Nexus 5.
With the connectivity feature; it supports two new Bluetooth profiles allowing apps to support a wider range of low power, like the Google glasses, smart watch, joysticks, keyboards, etc. This phone also connects to the Printer. It also brings in a dual-band Wi-Fi 802ac. There is another feature called Android Beam, an NFC enabled feature which allows the users to share digital details. It has wireless charging support like in the earlier Nexus 4.
So, considering Nexus 5 to be your next new phone you are sure to get better specs with a much faster performance. I am sure nexus 5 is going to be a great deal for people looking for value and performance!
